How to purchase careThe services from Lifeline Homecare can be funded or arranged in a variety of different ways and from a variety of sources. Whether home care services are needed: for yourself or someone in your care who you want to fund privately; The following payment options may apply Private FundingAnyone can arrange homecare for themselves or a friend or relative and fund it privately. You simply need to contact your local lifeline homecare office and arrange for a free initial assessment. You may also be eligible for some types of funding to help towards the cost of your care. These can include attendance allowance (if you look after a relative), disability living allowance, independent living fund... there are many types of funding available. If you are unsure as to whether you are entitled to any of this funding, it is best to contact your local authority or Citizens Advice who will be able to advise you further. Direct Payments and Individual BudgetsYou may be eligible to receive a direct payment or individual budget from your local authority, if they have assessed your care needs. The payment is made by social services directly to you and allows you to choose when and who provides your care. It also allows you to tailor the care provided to suit you and provides greater flexibility in how you choose to use the payment for different types of care needs. Funding Local AuthoritiesWe are accredited with social services in Somerset and Wiltshire to provide a variety of services. If you are eligible for social services funded care we may be appointed by the local authority as your care provider.
